IRCAM CELEBRATES ITS 40TH BIRTHDAY
Friday - Sunday, June 2 - 4 at the Centre Pompidou
and the CENTQUATRE-PARIS
Following the huge success of the open house weekend in February 2017, the first Parisian rendezvous in celebration of the Centre Pompidou’s anniversary, it’s IRCAM’s turn to celebrate 40 years of the Centre Pompidou. From June 2nd through the 4th, meet us for the opening weekend of the festival ManiFeste-2017. Parisian highpoint for artistic creation, emergence, and possibilities, IRCAM’s festival explores "The Musician’s Regard" this year, mobilized by a visual experience: an event imagined in connection with the latest sequence of works hung in the permanent collection of the Musée national d’art moderne: a new dossier-exhibition "L’Œil écoute".
Vocal concerts, shows, artistic performances, sound walks with headphones, children’s workshops, scientific conferences, a public show with artists and scientists: nine events, six of which are free of charge, letting the visitor discover and experience the multiple facets of the IRCAM today.
Alberto Posadas, Fujiko Nakaya, Lorenzo Bianchi Hoesch, Wim Vandekeybus…
And the IRCAM teams!
