Giulia Lorusso studied composition with Alessandro Solbiati at the Milan Conservatory, and then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris with Frédéric Durieux. In 2015 she followed IRCAM’s Cursus program for computer music and composition. Her music has been performed in Italy and abroad by the Quartetto Prometeo, the Ensemble Nikel, Divertimento Ensemble, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Bruxelles, and the soloists from the Ensemble Intercontemporain. She is interested in the relationships between performer and instrument, body and sound, in connection with the notion of contact and in the perspective of including different technological systems.
